EXCLUSIVE: Chugg Launches Label In USA

Chuggy's celebrating 50th anniversary

Michael Chugg's label Chugg Music is set to launch in America and will release Lime Cordiale's new EP later this month.

A division of Chugg Entertainment, best known for its touring exploits, Chugg Music was launched as the company expanded its management services for artists. They've signed the likes of Sheppard and Deep Sea Arcade in the past 18 months.

The label will have distribution through Super D/Alliance in the US, they have a deal in place with MGM locally.

Lime Cordiale's EP Falling Up The Stairs will be the first release when the label is officially launched 25 February, while the company will have a large presence at this year's SXSW festival.

“We have built a strong team of US industry members for Lime Cordiale's release who will no doubt contribute to the band's growth in America and Canada in the future,” Chugg said. “Along with our own office in Toronto, and my business partner Matthew Lazarus-Hall based in LA, everyone is excited to be working with Lime Cordiale who are fast gaining a considerable live following in Australia.”

Also signed to Chugg Music in Australia are Hey Geronimo, Major Leagues and new signing New Zealand's Avalanche City.

Chugg Entertainment are marking the 50th anniversary of Chugg's involvement with music this year and will throw a party at this year's SXSW. Lime Cordiale will perform.
