Popular Brisbane live music night Trainspotters will re-launch next month under the guidance of two new bookers.

The event, which is held weekly at the Grand Central Hotel, will now be booked by Matt Ford and Tara Wardrop, with Ford handling the Saturday night shows and Wardrop the Thursday. Ford is probably best known for his work as a drummer for Per Purpose, vocalist and guitarist for Thigh Master as well owning his own label Tenth Court Records. Wardrop is a member of local psych-rock outfit Dreamtime.

Trainspotters was formerly booked by Patrick Balfe, who is now working with the team at new Brisbane live music hub The Foundry.

The re-launch will also see a new PA system put in place for the event, entry into the event will be $5, as well as the announcement of its next lot of acts to perform. Power-pop outfit Wasters, Brissy punks The Skinnie Finches and duo Yellowcatredcat will play on the first night of Trainspotters re-launch with appearances coming up next month from Scraps, Hurst, Ultra Material, Black Springs and more.
