Finding success in ARIA-winning folk rock outfit Goanna through the late '70s and '80s, Goanna's ex-singer Marcia Howard has now performed one of the band's biggest hits, Solid Rock, as a contestant on Season 5 of The Voice.

The 55-year-old has found herself on Delta Goodrem's team on the show, with her impromptu performance of Solid Rock added onto the end of a chair-turning rendition of Sting's Fields Of Gold.

Last night's episode was watched by over 1.4 million Australians.
