Luminaries of hardcore and post-hardcore unite to melt some antipodean faces this January
Veteran US hardcore outfit Every Time I Die have announced that they and their compatriots in Californian post-hardcore crew Touche Amore will be hitting Australian shores for a blisteringly quick five-date run of shows early next year.
Kicking off with an appearance at Perth's Amplifier Bar on Wednesday, January 14, ETID and Touche Amore will take their polished power-performances through the Enigma Bar, in Adelaide, Melbourne's Corner Hotel, and the Manning Bar, in Sydney, before fixing their gaze on their final showing at Brisbane's The Zoo on Sunday, January 18.
Every Time I Die recently released their seventh full-length album, From Parts Unknown, and, by the time January rolls around, if they're not already, they should be well attuned to playing the newer content in the flesh alongside honed favourites from their extensive back-catalogue of late-'90s hardcore sounds right through to their present-day efforts.
Touche Amore, meanwhile, have had an impressive career trajectory since emerging as part of the late 2000s-early 2010s post-hardcore revival, slotting in alongside bands such as Tigers Jaw, Balance And Composure, Pianos Become The Teeth, and Title Fight among the resurgent scene of earnest, angsty bands making waves at home in the States and overseas.

Touche Amore dropped their third LP, Is Survived By, about a year or so ago, so if you're not yet across the reasons the Californians have been having praise heaped upon them by aficionados of the genre, you might want get onto that.
Tickets for Every Time I Die/Touche Amore's January 2015 tour will go on sale this Friday, September 5. See the Gig Guide or check The Music App for a full rundown of dates, venues and ticketing details.
