Every Time I Die shattered our hearts when they confirmed that they had dissolved the band at the beginning of this year.

The Buffalo-based hardcore band developed quite the legacy by releasing nine perfect heavy albums throughout their career. Known for squalling guitars, breakneck-paced drums, and the kaleidoscopic vocals of Keith Buckley, Every Time I Die released their ninth and final album, the aptly-titled Radical, in October last year.

The fun didn't last much longer, however, as by 4 December 2021, Buckley announced that he would take a hiatus from the band for his mental health; the group released a separate statement that they would finish the last three concerts of the year without him. Those shows were cancelled due to COVID-19, but the band reconvened to headline their annual hometown event, TID The Season, a few weeks later. After cancelling a UK tour in January 2022, Keith's brother and lead guitarist, Jordan Buckley, rhythm guitar player Andy Williams, bassist Stephen Micciche, and drummer Clayton Holyoak confirmed the end of Every Time I Die.

Keith Buckley and his bandmates' statements conflicted with one another. Jordan Buckley, Williams, Micciche, and Holyoak continue to play without Keith, and now Jordan has teased the first hints at new music since the band broke up.

In the videos shared, Holyoak can be witnessed going NUTS on the drums with some dirty fills recorded in a studio. Jordan Buckley has also unveiled a whiteboard of what the band, sans his brother, are looking to achieve: "MONSTER RIFF x4," "MOSH BUILD," and "MOSH" are most exciting.

I am so very grateful and thankful to have another opportunity to make music with and for people I love. My shoulder strap now has a chip on it, and since I haven't been able get it off yet I might as well use it for motivation. We need as much as we can get since this whole operation is being self funded. Scary shit in this economy, but we believe in ourselves and each other so we'll definitely be on stage asap as possible. Maybe you'll be there.
