Eric Wareheim Announces Aussie Gigs With Adult Swim's DJ Douggpound

Cult-favourite funnyman Eric Wareheim (he of Tim & Eric fame) is less than a week away from kicking off his impending tour of Australia with long-time TV and stage collaborator Tim Heidecker, but he's just bolstered his local commitments with the announcement of a three-show run of performances with Adult Swim personality DJ Douggpound this month.

Promising "a spiritual night of primordial chanting and strobe dancing", Wareheim and Douggpound — himself a frequent collaborator on Tim & Eric, as well as The Eric Andre Show and his own Poundcast podcast — will bring their array of sounds and fog machines to stages in Sydney (Friday 11 December, Fusebox @ Factory Theatre), Brisbane (Tuesday 15 December, Woolly Mammoth) and Melbourne (Wednesday 16 December, Shebeen).

Tickets for all shows are on sale now (Melbourne through the Factory Theatre; Brisbane/Sydney via Ticketscout), with a group discount available — buy three tickets, get the fourth free. Costumes and creative outfits are encouraged.
