Enslaved Announce Debut Australian Tour

It's been a long time coming, but the Norwegian metal juggernaut Enslaved is finally set to land on Australian shores, with a five-date headline tour announced for June.

Never giving a fuck about the strictures of extreme metal purists, Enslaved have forged a singular musical vision over their twenty-year existence. Their harrowing guitar and drum assault, learnt during their beginnings in the infamously violent 90s black metal scene, sits seamlessly alongside intense  psychedelic homages to 70s prog and kraut-rock.

Enslaved's twelfth album, RIITIIR, finds Enslaved honing this potent blend and had critical accolades piled on it after it's 2012 release, earning #1 in Metal Hammer's “Top 5 Albums of 2012” and snaring the band their fourth Norwegian Grammy for “Best Metal Album”.

Clearly stoked to be finally making it over, the band had this message for their long-suffering Aussie fans:  

'We've got twenty-two years of music to select from, and a live-reputation we now need to prove true in Australia. Finally we get to meet the fans that have supported us so loyally from the other side of the world through all these years. Now it is our job to prove that the wait was worth it! See you soon!'
