Melbourne songwriter Emma Russack has today released her third studio album, In A New State, as well as announcing a three-date tour for the east coast, with more shows to still be announced.

Since the release of her debut album Sounds Of Our City back in 2012, Russack has been stealing the hearts of audiences and critics alike.

With production on the new album done by John Lee (Mountains In The Sky, Beaches and The Ocean Party) and Joey Walker from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, In A New State distances itself from her previous releases and sees Russack take back charge on the guitar. 

Russack will finish her supporting duties on Alex Gow and Dan Kelly's tour this month before moving on to her own string of headline shows in July and August, taking place in Wollongong, Melbourne and Sydney.
