Exclusive: The Paper Kites Join EMI Publishing And Wonderlick Joint Venture

The publishing division and management company announced the venture today.

EMI Music Publishing Australia and Wonderlick Entertainment have signed a worldwide joint venture agreement which will allow them to co-publish songwriters and allow Wonderlick access to EMI's administration services.

Management company Wonderlick, home to the likes of Grinspoon, Josh Pyke, Marvin Priest and Boy & Bear, will use the worldwide services for their emerging acts Jackson McLaren and Max & Bianca, while The Paper Kites have been announced as the first signing to the joint arrangement today.

The co-publishing arrangement has landed The Paper Kites' track Featherstone in a series finale for Grey's Anatomy, as well as featuring in other TV series. The track, along with Bloom, have had more than two million views on YouTube combined.

They folky Melbourne five-piece have are currently finishing their next EP with Wayne Connolly before a sold-out July tour.

Singer/songwriter and 21-year-old Jackson McLaren has just finished recording his new EP with John Castle and will look to benefit from EMI's worldwide admin services, as will pop duo Max & Bianca who are writing for their debut album after a songwriting trip to America.
