“I apologise for the ‘c-word’."
Security at Elton John’s second Perth show copped an earful last night, with the UK singer slamming them mid-set for allegedly assaulting an audience member.
As noted by The Music’s Daniel Cribb, John singled out two security guards and told them to bring a punter back to the front and leave them alone, before calling them “cunts”.
“Morons, the both of them,” John said. “You don’t treat girls like that. God, what a piece of shit you both are. She was doing nothing! Leave her alone, you turds.”
After playing another song, John then addressed the situation again.
“I apologise for the ‘c-word’, I just hate people being assaulted, especially women by security guards. I have a pet hate of security guards anyway.”

A spokesperson from VenuesWest, owners of HBF Park, told The Music: “A female patron was removed during the show from front of stage, with the approval of the Elton John security representative on stage.
“Under the circumstances, the security team acted appropriately and we (VenuesWest and security) worked together with Elton’s team to ensure that the event was safe and successful for the artist and the patrons.”
Emotions were at an all-time high throughout the entire weekend, with John leaving a lasting impression as the Australian leg of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour kicked off.
The extensive world tour will see him in the country until early March; all the details of which you can find in theGuide.
