Elefant Traks To Launch New Licensing Arm Next Week

17 September 2015 | 10:32 am | Staff Writer

The esteemed Aussie label will expand its interests from Monday

Aussie-born-and-bred hip hop-centric label Elefant Traks has announced that it will launch a new online licensing platform early next week, powered by website and catalog-management system Soundgizmo.

Officially being unveiled this coming Monday, 21 September, the platform "will enable fast and competitively priced synch options to creatives and filmmakers, with a particular emphasis on serving the needs of independent and amateur productions".

Essentially, the licensing system will provide creatives with an easy, straightforward way to source music in such a way as to ensure the relevant creators are being compensated for their work — an increasingly difficult standard to maintain in the age of globalised digital information.

Elefant Traks are stocking up the joint with more than 200 of their artists' songs at launch, including work from HermitudeHorrorshowThe HerdUrthboyJimblahL-FRESH The LIONAstronomy ClassJane TyrrellThe Last Kinection and many others.
