Eddie Vedder ProfilePearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has announced he will perform a run of solo shows following his iconic band's headline slot at the upcoming Big Day Out festival series.
An acclaimed solo artist in his own right, Vedder will play shows in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in early February just weeks after the BDO tour. Tickets to these performances are available from 10am on Wednesday 18 December. You can find all the info in theGuide below.
Vedder performed a run of solo dates in Australia back in early 2011 and has built up quite an impressive list of solo credits in amongst his Pearl Jam work. He's contributed to the soundtracks for films Dead Man Walking and I Am Sam, both starring friend Sean Penn, who asked Vedder to score the entire soundtrack to his award-winning film Into The Wild a few years back. he was nominated for a Golden Globe and Grammy for this work.
Vedder has also released two studio solo albums to date, with the latest, Ukulele Songs out in 2011. Pearl Jam's most recent record, Lightning Bolt was released a few months ago.
