More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

Frontier Touring has announced the openers for Ed Sheeran's 2023 Australian tour, and they are Coodjinburra singer Budjerah (AU only) and the rising UK talent Maisie Peters (all dates).

The + - = ÷ x Tour (pronounced 'The Mathematics Tour') is one of the biggest we've seen in Australia and New Zealand, with sold-out dates in Wellington, Auckland, and Brisbane.

The tour will begin in Wellington on Thursday, 9 February, before heading to Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. The venues will be packed with the biggest crowds Budjerah and Maisie Peters have ever played to.

At 21 years of age, Peters has already racked up 845 million streams and counting to date worldwide, 37 million of those in Australia alone, which is her fifth largest streaming territory.

She released her latest single, Not Another Rockstar, earlier this month. It's a pop-punk banger that would effortlessly fit on playlists besides Olivia Rodrigo's good 4 u. Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, and Sam Smith are already fans - proof that she's made it. Peters is working on the follow-up to her #2 UK debut album; You Signed Up For This. The singer-songwriter isn't just opening for Sheeran; she's also performing seven intimate headline dates in Australia and New Zealand. Pre-sale tickets to her Australian tour dates will run for 24 hours on Monday, 31 October (12pm AEDT), while general public tickets begin on Wednesday, 2 November (12pm AEDT) on Moshtix and Oztix.

Budjerah introduced himself to the Australian R&B scene with his single, Missing You, in 2020.

The 20-year-old singer is joining the Ed Sheeran tour with new songs that will show why he's on his way to becoming a household name. His debut self-titled EP, which was produced by his mentor, Matt Corby, is a 5x ARIA-nominated release, including Best Solo Artist, Best Australian Live Act and Best R&B/Soul Release, Breakthrough Artist - Release, and Corby and Chris Collins received nods Producer Of The Year and Engineer Of The Year.

Budjerah has opened for a who's who of Australian music, such as Vance Joy, The Avalanches, Thelma Plum, Lime Cordiale, and a collaboration with PNAU. He also featured on the remix of the Ed Sheeran single, 2Step. Budjerah has come full circle. About the Sheeran tour, he says, "I can't wait for this tour; it's gonna be crazy! I'm super grateful for this opportunity; I never thought that I'd get to be a part of something like this. Thanks, Ed Sheeran!"
