Ed Sheeran Taps Rising Aussie Star Budjerah For New Release

Prolific ARIA Award-winning artist Budjerah has taken to social media to announce he has remixed global superstar Ed Sheeran's 2 Step, which is set for release tomorrow.

The track was originally part of Sheeran's fifth studio record, =, which was released last year. 

A remix featuring trailblazing rapper Lil Baby was released a fortnight ago, alongside a music video shot in Kyiv, Ukraine, kickstarting a plethora of alternative versions for the track as a part of a global remix campaign, featuring artists from Finland, Italy, Sweden, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil and of course, Australia.

Representing Down Under is none other than Budjerah, who today revealed on socials: "SURPRISE!! 🥳 It's been so hard to keep this a secret but I can finally tell you all that my remix of Ed Sheeran's song called '2step' is coming out TOMORROW!!"

Most recently, Budjerah revealed the music video for his latest single Get Down, which was taken from his second EP Conversations. The visual was dropped shortly after winning the Most Performed R&B/Soul Work for Higher at the APRA Awards.

The acclaim doesn't stop there for him though, with his breakthrough, self-titled EP of 2021 taking out the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist ARIA Award from five nominations,  as well as performing coveted slots alongside Thelma Plum, The Avalanches and Lime Cordiale, collaborating with dance music superstars PNAU and completing his first headline tour.

He's now set out to travel to perform his first Northern Hemisphere performances in England and France, before heading over to North America for shows in New York and Los Angeles in May and June, before embarking on a global run in support of Vance Joy.
