Summer Heights High gets taken over by Muscles and Thundamentals too
Queensland garage-thrash duo DZ Deathrays have covered the famed Naughty Girl track that featured in comedian Chris Lilley's ABC series Summer Heights High.
Originally sung by the character Mr. G as the central tune to his doomed arena-spectacular school music based on the overdose and death of one of school's students, DZ's version was recorded for the re-release of the show's soundtrack.
Predictably, they've given it a scuzzy overhaul, and thankfully kept one of this generation's most iconic refrains, “She's a naughty girl with a bad habit/A bad habit for drugs.”

They're not the only ones to have taken to sounds from the series though. Thundamentals have taken over the theme song with guest samples from crowd (if not year 7 students) favourite Jonah.
And Muscles has taken his remix tools to private school poster girl Ja'mie King.
Just in time for Christmas, the re-release of the soundtrack features the original, a remix disc featuring the above, a disc of the score and theme music and a DVD with music videos.
