Sydney’s The Duke of Enmore is about to turn three years old this October 20 and 21 — and they’re planning one hell of a party.

To mark the milestone, they're going all out with an event — aptly titled Carnival of Carnage —where you can expect a weekend full of fierce performances from some of The Duke’s favourite bands, DJs spinning loud tunes til late and a pizza-eating competition that'll leave your eyes watering.

The festivities kick off on Friday, October 20th, with friends of DUKE gathering to celebrate the EP release for The Black Cardinals. The Black Cardinals are bringing their signature thumping sound with their new track Give Me Something, a raw and intense groove that's set to be a crowd-pleaser.

Joining them is the balls-out rock band, Fox Company, presenting their latest singleWhen We Were Young, who will undoubtedly bring a high-energy performance that the Australian rock scene has been yearning for.

Also gracing the stage is Avalanche, a four-piece hard rock band from Western Sydney, known for their short, fast, and loud Aussie rock 'n roll. Supporting Rose Tattoo on their Southern Stars Tour in Sydney & Central Coast,

Them Wolves, a two-piece punk-gaze act that's loud, aggressive, and beautifully raw will set the stage alight, while DJ Goggles will keep the vibe alive till late.

The festivities continue into Saturday, October 21st, with an epic showdown: the "DUKE's Pizza Eating Face-Off," sponsored by Young Henrys.

This slice showdown of the year brings a thrilling competition — DUKE’S PIZZA EATING FACE-OFF — that begins at 4:00pm sharp. For those brave enough to compete, the challenge will be fierce, with Carolina Reapers entering the body.

Eaters will have 5 minutes to eat as many “Titty Twister” pizzas (Red sauce, mozzarella, Carolina Reaper) as quickly as possible.

Only after the entire pizza, including the dough, crust and all toppings (including any dropped components on the plate, table and floor) will the pizza be counted as eaten whole. Competitors will get a 10-second finish warning. Water, milk and bibs will be provided.

In the event of a tie, an “Eat Off” will occur, where the tied contestants (2 or more) will be given an extra 2 minutes to consume another round of pizzas. This will continue until we have a winner. There will be a WINNER who consumes the most pizzas in the time period and a PEOPLE’S CHOICE WINNER.

Note that the Pizza Eating Face-Off is strictly for competitors aged 18 and above, and a waiver must be signed.

As the night unfolds, the spotlight turns to some incredible music acts. Mountain Wizard Death Cult, a hidden grenade of the Sydney heavy scene, is set to explode with their atmospheric sludge & doom, a favourite at DUKE.

Hailing from Victoria, Barbariön, an 8-piece metal powerhouse, will bring their unique Viking-inspired presence to the stage, as well as Dane Blacklock & the Preachers Daughter, another Victorian act, promise a savage crooning performance.

Melbourne-based six-piece Maggie Pills will embody the spirit of the '90s alternative movement with their urgent, intense, and loud music, while DJ Azaria will keep the beats going late into the night.

DUKE has truly set the tone for an unforgettable weekend, so mark your calendars and save the date for this extraordinary third birthday celebration. Get ready for a carnival of music, fun, and unforgettable memories at DUKE's Third Birthday Spectacular!
