Just days after Sticky Fingers' Dylan Frost shared news of his ongoing mental health issues, hardcore heavyweights The Amity Affliction have opened up on their drummer Ryan Burt's struggles with "ongoing mental demons", leading to his departure from the group for their current European tour.

Taking to Facebook, the band write, "Ryan has recently been battling some ongoing mental demons, and as a group of friends who have had to deal with mental health issues in one way or another, all four of us knew that the best course of action was for him to take the time to go home and get some professional support.

"It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but it is the right one. Our priority at this point is Ryan’s health, and that will always come first."

The band have invited session/touring drummer Casey McHale into the fray to cover for Burt on their 'This Could Be Heartbreak' tour, and it seems that Burt is not leaving the band permanently but simply taking time off to recover.
