Melbourne post-hardcore outfit Dream On, Dreamer were forced to cancel a gig in their home town on Saturday night after the Max Watt's House Of Music venue was flooded following a main water pipe burst.

Taking to the venue's Facebook page late Saturday afternoon, management announced that "due to safety reasons" the show had been cancelled.

"IMPORTANT - A main water pipe has burst under Max Watt's House of Music venue late this afternoon and due to safety reasons we have had to cancel Dreamer, Dreamer show in Melbourne. Ticket purchasers are entitled to full refunds."

Soon after, Dream On, Dreamer addressed fans in their own Facebook post.

"Words can't describe how devastated we are to announce that the show at Max Watts tonight must be cancelled due to flooding of all electrical equipment," the statement read.

"We will be working around the clock to reschedule the show and make it up to you guys. It's a circumstance that is out of our hands."

The band announced that they are currently working on rescheduling the performance and that all purchased tickets will be valid for the new date when it is announced.
