Download Festival has today announced that US act Andy Black will no longer be performing at this year's festival.

“Due to scheduling conflicts I will not be able to make the trip to Australia as planned," says Black.

"I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but I have every intention to reschedule a tour and see all of you as soon as possible."

Replacing Black on the line-up will be US rock group New Years Day for their first-ever Australian shows.

This year's Download Festival takes place at Sydney's Parramatta Park and Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse in March, with headliners including Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, Alice In Chains, Ghost and more.
