Donald Glover, Muse Collaborator To Speak At Sydney Music Video Festival

Acclaimed British music video director Sing J Lee, the creative mastermind behind clips from Halsey, Migos, CHVRCHES, Muse and more, has been confirmed as a speaker for the year’s CLIPPED Music Video Festival in Sydney.

The announcement is a “taster” of this year’s program, with Lee expected to share insights into his creative approach during the event on June 15.

Lee has directed three music videos for Halsey (Sorry, Now Or Never, Bad At Love) and Chvrches (Under The Tide, Lies, The Mother We Share), while also contributing to Muse’s Mercy, AlunaGeorge’s Not Above Love, Migos’ Stir Fry, Charli XCX’s Boom Clap and a Donald Glover/Adidas collaboration.

“We’re pleased to shine a spotlight on the music video art form,” CLIPPED Festival Director Sam Bright said.

Lee will appear on the Clipped TV panel alongside MAMAG Studios founder Sylvia Zakhary, who also worked with Glover when Google launched the Pixel 3, while also contributing to Emmy-nominated mini-series Great Performers, and music videos for artists like Kali Uchis.

Also on the teaser announcement is UK music video director Tim Main of Tim & Joe fame, who directed Duke Dumont’s Won't Look Back.
