Don WalkerCritically acclaimed Australian songwriter and musician Don Walker is hitting the road this October in support of his forthcoming, just-announced fifth album, Love Songs.
Throughout his work with Cold Chisel, Catfish, Tex Don & Charlie, and his solo work, Walker has been recognised as one of Australia’s most evocative songwriters for decades.
Walker’s Love Songs Album Tour begins at Melbourne’s Memo Music Hall on Friday, 16 October. From there, he takes his music, new and old, to Geelong’s Eureka Hotel on Saturday, 17 October, Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, 24 October, Eumundi’s Imperial Hotel on Friday, 30 October, and concludes at Brisbane’s Old Museum on Saturday, 31 October.
At the shows, Walker will be accompanied by special guest Jimmy Dowling. Recognised as a songwriter with the pen of a poet, Dowling blends jazz structures with sparse storytelling that celebrates depth and space.
Tickets to the Love Songs Album Tour will be available on Thursday, 7 May, at 9 am local time via Don Walker’s website.

Set for release on Friday, 7 August, Love Songs is preceded by lead single Let’s All Get Together, a track that combines Walker’s distinctive voice with performances by Suave Fucks and The Harmonettes. Check out the music video below.
The album is home to plenty of appearances by incredible musicians. The late Roy Payne plays the guitar on Luck and Fly Away, with Shannon Bourne playing the guitar throughout the remainder of the album. Additionally, the album welcomes a horn section featuring Michael Fraser, Gianni Marinucci, David Palmer and Paul Williamson, while The Harmonettes – Amanda Roff, Erica Dunn, Brigitte Hart, Felicity Cripps and Alexandra Scott-Douglas – provide backing vocals across the album’s nine tracks.
