Dom Dolla has teamed up with pop legend Nelly Furtado with a brand new banger titled Eat Your Man. The single comes following an epic surprise performance together on New Year’s Eve at Australia’s acclaimed Beyond The Valley festival in 2022 as the duo brought in the New Year, performing to 35,000 festival goers. The new track follows themes similar to Furtado’s earlier work, with lyrics like “I’ll eat your man, devour him whole/licking my fingers, I'm in control”. Another Maneater, anyone? Either way, both Dom Dolla and Furtado eat this track up in more ways than one.
Iconic electronic pop princess Tove Lo (real name Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson) has dropped the romantic club banger I like u, documenting the moment that she met the love of her life. Aiming to create a track “that sonically felt like a nod to 90’s and Y2K dance music,” Nilsson employs the use of major pop sweeps, heavy bass, and a repetitive topline that’s as addictive as it is fun, to set the mood. The cherry on top for this track is that Nilsson will be donating a portion of her streaming proceeds from I like u to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention org for LGBTQ young people.

Grentperez had dropped his hotly anticipated EP When We Were Younger, with the title track embodying the epitome of all things grentperez. Motivated by a desire to stave off cynicism and embrace the carefree creativity of childhood, the multi-disciplinary artist has woven contemporary drums with old-school shuffling guitar creating a nostalgic track his fans will devour. As usual, grentperez’s vocals are a highlight, swimming around the listener in a warm hug, carrying us to the finish line. Aus fans will be able to catch the star at The Gold Coast’s free festival Springtime, in September.
Middle Kids have come creeping back onto our airwaves with a slow but considered track, Bootleg Firecracker. This is the first we’ve heard from the three-piece since their 2021 album Today We’re The Greatest, and it seems that their small hiatus has paid off in a renewed sense of creativity and inspiration. Bootleg Firecracker is a classic introspective Middle Kids song that embodies a sense of a time long gone. Whether this is the beginning of a new album cycle, or the band wanting to throw us a bone, Bootleg Firecracker is a cracking song that will weasel its way into your mind, serving as a reminder of the joy and fragility of love.
Newcomer Mali Jo$e has teamed up with the iconic Tasman Keith and xmunashe for new fast-paced and jazz-inspired track PRICE UP!. Short and sweet, with a run time sitting just under two minutes, PRICE UP!’s sonic elements blend with the message conveyed by Jo$e and Keith as they take turns in rapping about the pressure it takes to level up, both inside and outside the industry. With the track’s instrumental giving the vibe of sitting in a smoky jazz bar, paired with the strong hip-hop elements, Mali Jo$e have brought back an era of music that we didn’t even know we missed.
