Dion Hirini - Guitarist For Linda & Vika, Paul Kelly, Tina Arena & More - Passes Away

Guitarist Dion Hirini has passed away. 

Hirini passed away unexpectedly from a heart condition on Friday evening while travelling home from performing at a show in regional Victoria. 

A highly regarded musician, Hirani was born in New Zealand and was based in Melbourne, he is best-known for his work alongside artists like Vika & Linda Bull, Paul Kelly, Tina Arena, Kasey Chambers and more.

He was currently touring as part of the Keep The Circle Unbroken tour as part of the Row Jerry Crow band with Paul Woseen (The Screaming Jets), Jeff Consi (The Badloves), Rob Hornbuckle (The Masters Apprentices) and John Kendall (Uncle Bill) and Delsinki. 

Hirini was also touring alongside Debra Byrne for their An Intimate & Up-Close Performance With Debra Byrne & Dion Hirini series. 

Byrne has paid tribute to Hirini on social media saying "My dear friend Dion Hirini RIP".

The Bull sisters have also paid tribute to Hirini saying, "Today we lost our brother Dion. We always called him the third Bull Sister and our hearts are broken. Thank you for so many beautiful moments we spent together. We love you D."
