Did Prince Band Hint At Australian Summer Tour?

According to a report on the Drfunkenberry site, a member of Prince's band last week teased fans with a cryptic statement about touring Australia.

Following a live stream of rehearsals with Prince last week, a person identifying themselves as one of Prince's 3rdEyeGirl band attempted to answer some fan questions in the stream's chatroom.

First there was talk of a surprise gig in Chicago this weekend, which has now been revealed to have been a reference to the wedding party for George Lucas. Lucas who married Mellody Hudson last weekend at his Skywalker Ranch is hosting a giant wedding celebration in his new wife's hometown of Chicago this weekend.

A fan then asked about the possibiltiy of an Australian tour. The response came in seemingly Lucas-influenced, Yodaspeak: "Australia will be when it is Winter in Minneapolis. Australian Dates, it is."

There have been no further statements about a tour. However the 3rdEyeGirl site has been relaunched with the Tour section wording up fans to "check back soon".
