For the first time in more than 20 years, Detroit's The Romantics have announced they're coming to Australia, with two shows slated in both Melbourne and Sydney.
The new wave/power pop pioneers will start their run at Factory Theatre on 31 Oct, stopping at Chelsea Heights Hotel and Doncaster Hotel before wrapping things up with a night at Corner Hotel, 4 Nov.
Apart from longtime drummer Brad Elvis, the tour features all founding members of the band that took a look at the British punk invasion and Detroit rock and made some of the most recognisable pop-rock songs of the '80s - not least What I Like About You.
They're joined at all dates by Australia own new wave faves, Pseudo Echo.
