Death Cab for Cutie frontman to release solo album

Set for release on October the 15th, Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard will release his debut solo effort.

The album, entitled Former Lives and released via City Slang will feature twelve tracks written over the last eight years. Gibbard had the chance to record these after Codes and Keys and this album will mark his first solo effort under his own name. (The first Death Cab for Cutie demo was performed entirely by Gibbard)

The future looks bright for fans of the frontman's prolific songwriting.
