Death Cab For Cutie Announce 2019 Australian Headline Shows

Heading Down Under next March!

More Death Cab For Cutie Death Cab For Cutie Profile

In support of their August-released album, Thank You For Today, US indie rock legends Death Cab For Cutie have announced they'll head to Australia in 2019 for some special headline gigs.

The band will perform two dates at the iconic Sydney Opera House, two at Melbourne's Hamer Hall and one at Canberra Theatre next March.

"The epochal Death Cab for Cutie’s chiming guitars and acerbic, elliptical explorations of missed emotional cues and complex relationship entanglements have soundtracked the internal worlds of a generation of indie rock lovers," Sydney Opera House's Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall, said.

"Like their mesmerising live performance here in 2015, expect an impeccable sonic experience with all of Death Cab’s heart-rending feelings, textures and soaring melodies ringing with absolute crystal clarity in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall this March."

Tickets for both shows go on sale from midday on Friday 30 November; for more details, check out theGuide.
