Australia needs to forget everything it knows about Boston Hardcore to prepare themselves for the beatdown that Death Before Dishonor are bringing to these shores. Having already played over 1,000 shows worldwide, this hardcore powerhouse are adding another nine shows to the list with dates across Australia in August and September.
Death Before Dishonor are far more than the unapproachable tough guy image they and their music project. These stereotypes mask one of the hardest working and most talented bands in modern hardcore. With five albums, two 7"s, and a place on Bridge Nine's roster to their name, DBD have cemented themselves a place in hardcore history, especially on the back of their 2009 epic, Better Ways To Die.
Joining Death Before Dishonor on the East Coast dates of the tour will be Brisbane's Against and Sydney's Relentless.
Having formed in September 2001, Against have established themselves as one of Australia's foremost hardcore acts. 2007's Loyalty & Betrayal saw the band take a step further with their music and having toured with the likes of Agnostic Front, Mindsnare, Death By Stereo and Champion, this is one band not to miss. Against's new album, Heathen, will be released 14 August 2010 by Trial and Error Records.
Relentless quickly put their stamp on the Sydney hardcore scene almost two years ago with the release of their debut EP and a reputation for an intense and passionate live show. In 2010, Relentless follow up their 2008 release, Opposition To Control, with their debut full-length Set In Stone, out on Dogfight Records in August, 2010.
Joining Death Before Dishonor on the Perth leg of the tour will be Newcastle's Dropsaw.
After spending a month in the studio, Dropsaw released their third album Hard Justice on May 14th 2010. The album was recorded in San Diego, USA with As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis, Kelly Cairns and Daniel Castleman (Austrian Death Machine, Winds Of Plague, Sworn Enemy, Impending Doom). The band have taken a large step in the way of song writing, mixing it up though the album with insanely fast thrash and destructive breakdowns and keeping that 'heavy as fuck' Dropsaw sound. Get down and drink with the drunkest band in Australia!
With a line-up of powerhouse bands hitting every show hard, this is definitely going to be one of the do-not-miss tours this year!
