Aussie rock veterans AC/DC — what's left of them — have announced 10 rescheduled performances in the United States with new touring frontman Axl Rose following a critically acclaimed transition period of shows in Europe.

Rose defied the odds in his debut appearances with the local legends, garnering serious praise from several high-profile outlets including the likes of Rolling Stone, which dubbed his first performance "a triumph", and Billboard, which effused that Rose had "nailed it".

The rejigged line-up — which, along with central figure Angus Young, includes returned drummer Chris Slade as well as Stevie Young and Cliff Williams — will now hit stages Stateside from 27 August, when they kick off at Greensboro Coliseum, heading to shows in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania, where they'll round out their massive Rock Or Bust World Tour on 20 September.

"This band has got a tonne of energy and you're going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon," Angus said in a statement. "I want to get back out there onstage in the US with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too."
