More AC/DC AC/DC

They haven't even finished their Rock Or Bust world tour yet, but the travelling spectacle has seen Aussie rockers AC/DC sell more tickets to their live shows than any other touring act in 2015.

According to a new report from Pollstar, the Sydney-founded group sold exactly 2,310,061 tickets this year, ahead of US pop star Taylor Swift who sold 2,273,328 tickets during The 1989 World Tour.

The iconic rock band did however finish behind Swift in regards to overall gross sales, taking in $180 million against Swift's $250.4 million.

AC/DC comfortably beat out UK boy band One Direction who came in at third with 1,729,470 tickets sold in 2015, U2 who placed fourth with 1,286,416 tickets and Foo Fighters in fifth with 1,682,053.

Other big names who placed in the top 20 list include British singer Ed Sheeran (1,823,410), The Rolling Stones (628,733), Elton John (623,343) and Fleetwood Mac (995,939).
