"It's somewhere between a monologue, a play, and an autobiographical slide show with a few funnies thrown in."
British comedian, actress and writer Dawn French has announced she'll be bringing her widely acclaimed 30 Million Minutes show to Australia early next year, for three months of shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
The cheeky show is based on her life and career, and is chock full of witty stories and life lessons French has taken away in her 57 years. As the press notes tell, French will also share "how she has misguidedly spent her whole life vigorously attempting to be a fully functioning female human."
French says of the shows, "I'm sick with excitement about this solo tour. I am enjoying the fact that I can't categorise exactly what it is, but it's somewhere between a monologue, a play, and an autobiographical slide show with a few funnies thrown in."
French will hit the stage twice late January in Brisbane, before two shows each in Sydney and Melbourne in February, and two shows in Perth in early March.
