A musical adapted from a concept album by Talking Heads legend David Byrne and iconic DJ/producer Fatboy Slim is the first show to be confirmed for next year's Vivid Festival in May.
Here Lies Love is based on the story of former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos (and owner of HEAPS of shoes) and her family, in particular their experiences when forced to leave their country and her rise to power in her homeland. Byrne and Fatboy Slim released the concept album back in 2010 and it was not long after adapted into a musical by Tony-nominated director Alex Timbers.
The musical is currently running in New York City and will open in London next month and has achieved a great deal of acclaim in its run so far.
