Winners of the genre-leading Australian Jazz Bell Awards were announced last night in a ceremony at Melbourne, with David Ades & Friends picking up Song Of The Year and Best Ensemble.
Named after the late Australian jazz pioneer Graeme Bell, 2013 was the 11th time the awards have been held. Federal Parliamentary Secretary for The Arts Michael Danby gave a keynote at the ceremony while James Morrison was inducted into the Australian Jazz Hall Of Fame.
