AFI frontman Davey Havok is set to take up the lead role as St Jimmy in the Green Day musical "American Idiot". Melissa Etheridge has just wrapped up a stint in the role, which Green Day frontman and the play's composer and co-author Billie Joe Armstrong is currently playing.
Havok will fill in the role for two weeks of March. In addition, former American Idol contestant Justin Guarini, who has performed on Broadway in "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown", joined the show earlier this year.
