The Finnish DJ has lined up four local shows as part of his 'Endless Summer' world tour
There are few musicians who have managed to leverage a singular hit into as sustainable and successful a career as old mate Darude.
Does he have any songs that aren't Sandstorm? Well, yes. Several. Albums' worth. It's been 18 years since fucking Sandstorm.
But does that matter? No, because the prospect of hearing that one song — certified banger that it is — has been enough to put Darude in a position to have not only toured to Australia twice in the past two years, but to now be coming back for another round as part of his newly announced 'Endless Summer' world tour.
After making his way through the US, Canada, Europe and New Zealand, the mononymous Finnish DJ will touch down for four local shows, starting at Brisbane's Victory Hotel on 3 August, and heading on to Adelaide (Red Square, 4 August), Sydney (Ministry Of Sound Club, 5 August) and Cairns (Pier Bar, 6 August).

Darude's most recent album is 2015's fourth full-length effort, Moments, which was his first album in eight years at the time and took him around the world, including to five shows here as part of that year's Future Music Festival (RIP).
He returned to Australia for a headline tour in 2016, and evidently loved it so much he just couldn't stay away.

This is normally where we'd embed Sandstorm but, honestly, that's probably the only song of his that ever gets embedded in these kinds of articles, so here is 2015's Beautiful Alien, ft AI AM, instead.
Oh, fine. Here's Sandstorm too.
