The Pride, Savages, and more.
Darlinghurst Theatre Company has launched their 2016 program tonight.
The program opens with Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Pride, which won the Olivier Award for Outsanding Ahcievement In An Affiliate Theatre in 2009, a co-presents with Sydney Gay And Lesbain Mardi Gras, 5 February - 6 March.
Patricia Cornelius' Savages then takes to the Eternity Playhouse stage, 1 April - 1 May, a work about toxic masculinity, before, 3 June - 3 July, Nick Enright's A Man With Five Children explores the cult of celebrity, as supported by the Enright family. Broken by Mary Anne Butler, 29 July - 28 August, follows as harsh look at the Australian landscape, and its mirrored emotions.
Eternity Playhouse will also host the world premiere of Remembering Pirates by Christopher Harley about the children of Peter Pan all grown up, 16 September - 16 October, before closing 2016 with a cheeky metanarrative about the theatre David Mamet's A Life In The Theatre, 4 November - 4 December.
