Dannii Minogue Announces Release Of 'Neon Nights' 20th Anniversary Edition

Dannii Minogue, Australian pop royalty, has announced the release of Neon Nights 20th Anniversary Edition. 

On Friday, 16 June, a CD and DVD package and a Limited Edition Picture Disc vinyl will be released. The CD and DVD come with bonus tracks, official music videos and BBC performances, while the picture disc features the Official Bootleg Edition track listing with two essential mash-up versions.

Neon Nights is Minogue’s most successful album, particularly in the UK. Her fourth album debuted at #8 in the UK and reached Gold status. 

In Australia, the record was moderately successful compared to across the pond, debuting at #25 on the ARIA Albums Chart and being nominated for the Best Pop Release at the 2003 ARIA Awards, which was ultimately won by Delta Goodrem with Innocent Eyes.

Propelled by a veritable pick and mix of the European dance production scene, the album spawned four UK Top 10 smashes with Who Do You Love Now? (#3), Put The Needle On It (#7), I Begin To Wonder (#2) and Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling (#5). 

London Records signed Dannii for an album deal, and work on Neon Nights commenced. “With [previous album] Girl, I was given wings,” Minogue said of the recording process in a current press release. “With Neon Nights, I was allowed to fly.”  

"When I first released Neon Nights, I was overwhelmed,” Minogue recalled, some twenty years later. “I was running around promoting and it was hard to catch a moment to enjoy it all — but even then, I knew that one day I’d be able to look back on it all, and I’d be able to think:  ‘Wow. What a time…’” 

To this day, Neon Nights remains an album packed with undeniable dance-pop bangers.
