And it's VERY good.

More Daniel Johns More Daniel Johns

After teaming up with Perth duo Slumberjack earlier this year, Silverchair frontman and acclaimed Aussie artist Daniel Johns has backed that up by joining forces with Sydney multi-instrumentalist Jake Meadows on a brand new project.

Meadows' debut EP, Good Company, was inspired after the singer and harpist returned from a trip to Ibiza to show Johns (who are close friends) some of the early versions of the tracks he had written.

"Daniel and I have been friends for years and he’s always helped me find inspiration," Meadows said.

"We've always worked well together, on different projects, and this collaboration happened really organically. I showed him the tracks I had been working on for the EP, and he offered to produce and be a part of the project, and we just went for it."

The EP comes on the back of Johns' and Meadows singles, Echo Of Tomorrow and Lost Entitlement, both released earlier this year.

Written between Meadows' Sydney studio, Johns' own house and in Tasmania, Good Company was also mixed by Chris Townsend who has worked with names such as Silverchair, The Presets, D12 & more.

The EP can be streamed on Spotify now before its official release tomorrow.
