The final details surrounding Dan Sultan's much-awaited third album have been revealed, with news that the record, titled Blackbird, will be unveiled this April.

The LP will be out officially on Friday 4 April through Liberation and its name has been taken from the same Nashville studio where Sultan recorded it. For Blackbird, the singer-songwriter worked with producer Jacquire King, whose previous credits include Tom Waits and Kings Of Leon.

Sultan has also announced the second single to be taken off the album - The Same Man. The track is a departure from the powerful and sultry anthem Under Your Skin - The Same Man is heavy on the banjo and features the guys from Kingswood on backing vocals. The song is out this Friday 14 February.

Sultan is currently on tour with Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band and will kick-off his own headline shows at the end of this month. Check out theGuide for the details.
