Dan SultanIndigenous empowerment association The GO Foundation has named acclaimed Melburnian singer-songwriter Dan Sultan as its inaugural ambassador.
Led by Australian Of The Year and AFL star Adam Goodes and Sydney Swans icon Michael O'Loughlin, the foundation takes steps to empower Indigenous youth through education and the provision of scholarships and expense assistance.
Aside from his day-to-day promotional obligations as part of the role, Sultan will have a chance to meet some of the foundation's charges up-close and personally in his capacity as mentor.
βI'm really thrilled to be named as the first ambassador for The GO Foundation,β Sultan said in a statement. βIt's a real honour to be working with and alongside Adam Goodes and Michael O'Loughlin. The Foundation promotes a really fantastic cause and I'm looking forward to helping them realise their goals now and in the future.β
The appointment comes not long after Sultan released a fresh single, Kimberley Calling, from his ARIA Top 5 full-length Blackbird, and not long before he sets out on the road for his tour in support of the record, with guest appearances from Stonefield, and Way Of The Eagle providing DJ-set duties.
