Dan Sultan’s new album Blackbird is his most powerful offering yet and the Melbourne singer-songwriter’s current shows are reflecting that.

With dates coming up around the country in the lead up to Valley Fiesta, Sultan flew into Sydney’s The Metro Theatre over the weekend. We put theMusic.com.au photographer Peter Sharp backstage, sidestage and on the stage as the band sound-checked, warmed up, tucked into the rider and then powered through their set to the assembled crowd.
