Two more dates added to his September visit
Seattle singer-songwriter Damien Jurado will play his first Australian headline shows this September, to coincide with his just announced appearance at Brisbane Festival.
The conceptual music-maker, who came to prominence in the '90s as part of the famed Sub Pop record label and his lo-fi folk, Americana sound, will perform at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on Friday 19 September, with a show at Sydney's Factory Theatre the following night. Joining him at both dates is Adelaide artist Summer Flake, while Great Earthquake and Julia Jacklin will appear in Melbourne and Sydney respectively. Tickets are on sale now and you can find the info below.
Jurado, currently signed to Secretly Canadian, has put out an esteemed catalogue since his humble beginnings in the '90s, most notably, his work with producer (and now touring member of The Black Keys) Richard Swift on his recent three-part conceptual album series. The third record in the trilogy, Brothers And Sisters Of The Eternal Son was released earlier this year.
Jurado will perform at Brisbane Festival Sunday 21 September. More on the program can be found here.
