Romanthony was influential in house music

While the world has been celebrating the release of Daft Punk's new album Random Access Memories, some sad news has emerged regarding their One More Time vocalist and pioneering house producer Romanthony.

According to the Daily Mail, the multi-faceted musician died earlier this month. His sister Mellony Moore confirmed the news on her facebook page, saying that he passed away at his home on Tuesday 7 May. No cause of death has been revealed at this stage. He was 46.

While perhaps best known for his vocals on the French duo's mega 2000 hit, Romanthony (real name Anthony Moore) was an influential figure in the house music scene particularly in the early 90s with tracks like Make This Love Right and Let Me Show You Love. Testify #1 was one of the songs that first put the producer on the map.
