More CYRIL More CYRIL

CYRIL has just released his first original song, Tears Dry Tonight, a collaboration he’s locked in with British troubadour James Blunt.

Out today via Warner Music Australia and Spinnin’ Records, the pair have teamed up for a melancholic pop tune, blending both of their signature stylings—CYRIL’s gentle deep house productions and Blunt’s warm, compelling songwriting—for the ultimate comfort song.

Blunt and the Aussie superstar have teased their new song on social media over the last fortnight. You can check out Tears Dry Tonight below.

The single arrives after CYRIL catapulted to fame in 2023 with the breakthrough track, Stumblin’ In (a reworking of the Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro classic), which went viral and has over 550 million plays on Spotify alone.

CYRIL then dropped his electronic stylings on his version of Disturbed’s cover of The Sound Of Silence, before levelling up with the Robin Schulz collab, World Gone Wild, and teaming up with maryjo for a remix of Paramore’s Still Into You.

Last year, CYRIL was nominated for two ARIA Awards for Stumblin’ In—Best Dance Release and Song of the Year—and recently took home Song of the Year at Germany's Radio Regenbogen Awards.

In February, Spotify revealed that the DJ dominated the Australian Music Global Impact List, which tracked the most successful songs of 2024.

CYRIL topped the list with his remix of The Sound Of Silence. Two of his other remixes feature on the Top 30, including The Door (remixing Teddy Swims) and Fall At Your Feet (remixing Crowded House) featuring Dean Lewis, which made it to #18 and #24, respectively.

He said of the achievement, “I’m incredibly honoured to have three tracks featured on the Spotify Global Impact List, including a No.1 spot, alongside so many talented artists. It makes me proud that my music can show the world that Australians aren’t here to f*** spiders.”

Meanwhile, James Blunt is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Back To Bedlam, bringing the tour to Australia this October. Back To Bedlam has been certified eight times Platinum in Australia since it debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart in late 2004.
