Hasn't released an album since 2008
Old-time blues player C.W. Stoneking is back out on the road this June, with dates in Sydney and Melbourne to take place in churches.
The first stripped back and solo performances since 2005, Stoneking is the latest artist to embark on the Heavenly Sounds church tour – which has previously transported Laura Marling, Lisa Mitchell and Beth Orton around the country.
Stoneking, who is playing Bluesfest over Easter, hasn't released an album since 2008's Jungle Blues, so we're not really sure what time of frame he's in at the moment. Expect plenty of blues, calypso and hillbilly though, all with a depression-era wash.
Supporting both dates will be Kira Puru, who is working towards the release of her debut album.
