Celebrating his latest 3 CD album, Legacy.
Kevin Borich has been in the music industry for 60 years. Earlier this year, the New Zealand rock music legend unveiled his 3 CD album, Legacy, a collection of studio recordings and live versions of his music spanning the years 1973 to 1981.
Legacy is split into three segments celebrating the music of The La De Das, Kevin Borich Express, and The Party Boys. "Vol. 1 - 'Hot' are a bunch of rockers; Vol. 2 - 'Chill' is a bit more chill for those mellower moments and Vol. 3 - 'Live' are some of my favourite recorded live performances," Borich wrote on his website.
Borich will perform two sets from the Legacy CD with his band on his annual Kevin Borich Sydney Harbour Cruise. "I've been doing annual Sydney Harbour Cruises for 18 years, and it's wonderful we can now continue," he said.
He added, "It is amazing to be performing and watching everyone having a fantastic time as we cruise around the most beautiful Harbour in the world. Sailing under the majestic Harbour Bridge, passing the iconic Sydney Opera house, you really do get a great perspective on why it's so highly revered. With all that and our music as the soundtrack, it's like you'll be in the best movie playing in Australia!"
The cruise begins on Sunday, 11 December, from noon to 4 pm. Arrive at the Harbourside Cruises / Harbour Spirit: King Street Wharf #9 at Darling Harbour at least 15 minutes early. Tickets are available on Eventbrite; your ticket also includes access to the self-serving grazing food station.
Borich isn't the only rock legend cruising the high seas. A few weeks ago, Suzi Quatro led the Rock The Boat cruise, which also docked in Sydney. Also on the line-up were The Angels, The Great Creedence Revival Show, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, and more.

In February 2023, the Rock Legends Cruise X festival sets sail from Fort Lauderdale to CocoCay, Bahamas, on Liberty of the Seas. The event is headlined by Roger Daltrey and Deep Purple and is stacked with more rock and roll heroes, such as George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Lou Gramm (original singer of Foreigner), and more.
Punks and metallers are also joining the cruise craze. Gyroscope and Bodyjar will headline Sydney's newest festival: Sin Or Swim, the inaugural punk cruise that will dock for passengers in March 2023.
The heavy metal band, Lamb Of God, introduced the Headbangers Boat cruise festival in October-November 2023. They will be accompanied by Mastadon, GWAR, Hatebreed, Fit For An Autopsy, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, and a solo performance from Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton, with more to be announced.
