A handful of fans in regional NSW were treated to a surprise performance from music legends Crowded House last Friday.

Ahead of their highly anticipated Aussie tour, which kicks off Adelaide tomorrow night, Neil Finn and co decided to play an impromptu gig to an intimate crowded in Newrybar in Northern NSW, a region that has been severely impacted by storms and floods.

The acoustic performance at The Little General Newrybar coincided with an event celebrating the efforts of the volunteers helping with flood relief.

Commenting below Crowded House’s footage of the gig, The Little General Newrybar said: “The stars aligned and as this great band were rehearsing here in our little hall they heard of the resolve of this small community and they gave their time and talent to boost the morale and support for our little village.”
