Following a hectic week in which Xavier Rudd has been slammed by fans for his song, Let Me Be, featuring in a KFC TV advertisement, newly Grammy-nominated artist Courtney Barnett has made her stance clear after the fast food chain tweeted her earlier today.

The official KFC Twitter handle congratulated Barnett on her Grammy nomination writing, "Sometimes I sit and eat #KFC and sometimes I just sit," in reference to her debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, released earlier this year.

Soon after, Barnett posted a screen shot of the tweet to her Instagram and captioned the image,"I haven't eaten chicken since I was 18, and when I did eat chicken, i don't think I ever once ate a KFC chicken burger ever."

Burn.

It comes just a day after PETA urged Rudd to reconsider supporting KFC, given that he is a vegetarian and support of animal rights, however Rudd is yet to publicly comment.

PETA launched their own campaign against KFC over a decade ago with the Kentucky Fried Cruelty initiative, which protest's the treatment of chickens.
