Listen to the new adds here
Courtney Barnett’s anticipated debut album will be a big focus for triple j next week, with the station making Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit feature album.
With a couple of tracks already appearing from the record, it is expected to set Barnett up as one of the country’s great exports and in-demand acts for the rest of the year. It was chosen ahead of Modest Mouse’s new album Strangers To Ourselves, which receives an album packet addition.
Elsewhere there were seven other local additions to the playlist starting Monday 16 March, starting with unsigned Melbourne act Ben Wright Smith’s No One, which is promoted from spot play last week.
The new singles from established acts Daniel Johns (Preach) and Tame Impala (the epic eight-minute Let It Happen dropped today) are both added, while MC Tuka has his new track Nirvana promoted from spot play like Smith’s. Sydney’s unsigned Lucky Luke receives an add with 1 Day also.
