Country Musicians Unite For Special Charity Gig

All in the name of suicide prevention.

More Travis Collins Travis Collins

Country musicians in Tamworth are once again uniting in support of suicide prevention charity R U OK?.

Three-time Golden Guitar winner and R U OK? ambassador Travis Collins is set to host Conversations In The Park on January 27 with the intent to empower music lovers with the skills to support those closest to them.

“We’ve got to make time for it. It’s got to become second nature to keep checking in on our family and mates, and giving them the space to feel safe to open up,” Collins said.

“I want the country music community – my other much-loved family – to walk away from this event feeling like they have the skills and confidence to do that.”

Playing alongside Collins on the day will be country star Amber Lawrence and a bunch of surprise artists.

Conversations In The Park will take place right after the 2018 Toyota Country Music Cavalcade; for more information, head to the Facebook event.
